Co-op Academy Swinton has launched a new web app for students to be able to access the school’s library anywhere! The system is called Accessit, a library system designed to help you search for books, websites, film clips, databases, curriculum resources and more.

What do you need to access the web app?

You can log into Accessit Library from inside the library, from the classroom, or from home.

Students

To login via the homepage, students will click the guest button in the top right corner. The drop-down box will appear and students will click 'Login with school details'

 

Parents

Parents will not need to log in via the homepage and will continue as a guest. You will be able to access the main library page and the parent page. These pages will have a range of information relating to school, homework, key dates and parent newsletters.

 

Dashboards

Through the homepage, both parents and students will be able to access the dashboards tab which will link to other resources available. There are various pages to explore in the dashboard tab, including a Parents hub offering information offering lots of help and advice on topics such as emotional health to staying safe while gaming and tips for reading with your children.

What devices can you access the web app on?

The Accessit webapp can be accessed from any device with an up-to-date browser, including smartphones, tablets, computers, Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5.

What can the webapp be used for? 

Accessit offers a huge range of capabilities that will assist our students' learning, which include:

• All things library related, including library news and competitions.

• ALL the school library books (what is in stock, book information, about the author, professional reviews and student reviews).

• Library lesson resources including current events.

• Curriculum dashboard and resources including reading lists.

• Homework.

• Revision.

• Sparx Reader.

• Sparx Maths.

• Seneca.

• Careers.

• Parent Information.

• Mental Health and Well-being.
